There is a lot of fight in all of us dealing with this. Let's fight for that cure!LeeNoah was approved for Medicaid because of his disability- PSC/UC.  I guess I did not realize that was what we were going after, but that works for me.  I guess I assume now that because of that we will not have to fight this fight again.  He is not going to get better than he is right now, or at least the diagnosis and prognosis will not…barring some great new “cure”.Thought I would share a victory.

check to find out if there are certain hospitals that your medicaid will allow. Ours did not want us to go out of state. Congratulations.

Ruth,

And because we

went through the appeals process because of first being denied, it will go back

and get all the charges from when the colonoscopy was done. That was

before the PSC part was diagnosed. I just wonder if simply the UC would

have gotten the disability status as well?

I am so glad to hear of Noah's

approval. When was approved, we breathed a great sigh of

relief. Ruth B.

You may want to talk to your friends, family and church about a fund raiser now. My friends at work had one that raised $6000. We used it for the trips to the dr. We also had a day trip as we are in NY and we go to Mass. The local hospitals give a good discount on people staying that are going to the hospital. You could go up the night before and spend the night. Have a morning appointment than drive home. This makes it so you are not so exhausted and makes it more fun for your son.

Marti,

Good idea.

I have a hard time bringing it up. I know the kids’ old elementary

school is having a family fun night with proceeds to go to Noah’s care.

I need to start talking about it more.

Thanks,

Mom of Noah

8- dx UC 3/05; PSC 5/05

We got our

URSO increased!
