Guest guest
All, I have been asked to develop a program for our small hospital. HR and our safety committee have asked for our PT department to do a couple things: 1. Have regularly scheduled educational programs for employees on a voluntary basis, maybe every quarter. 2. Schedule the same programs on a regular basis for certain departments (nursing, security, maintanence - all the positions that are at a higher risk of injury through lifting, repetitive use, etc), maybe yearly or twice a year. 3. Also perofrm these as needed with certain individuals who seem to be repeat offenders as far as work injuries-as determined by HR/safety committee Does anyone currently do this? The topics we are looking to cover would include proper lifting techniques, posture, avoiding repetitive motions. Any suggestions or tips on things that have either worked or not worked for you in the past? If you would prefer to email me directly that is fine.
