Guest guest
Michele, I've used vitamin E capsules, broken open and rubbed in. Had good results. Guest guest
Michele, My last shoulder surgery I was told to us vitamine E oil too. I helped me. I don't know what else works. Lynn scar treatment Any good suggestions on scar healing? Aubrie's got 4 long thick scars from her hip surgery. I used one tube of Mederma but it's so expensive and I'll need it for so long -- so I switched to Vit E oil. Any other reasonably priced suggestions? Guest guest
Jeanie - I bought the oil because it was actually cheaper than breaking the capsules -- which is what I did earlier. It's certainly an affordable route. The cocoa butter is affordable too. I wonder which is better or if it's worth doing a combo. Guest guest
I'm glad to hear all the positives on Vit E for scars. It's so inexpensive! I was fearing that the vote would be for an expensive remedy and I really didn't want to hear that. Michele W

Guest guest
Bonnie- Thanks. I've been massaging as I put on the oil. She doesn't like it so I don't do it long, but at least it's something. Michele
Guest guest
Michele, My orthopedic surgon feels that the massaging increases the blood flow the the scar/healing area. He believes that the blood flow does more good than the E oil itself. I have massaged oil into two scars with good healing and success. Lynn Re: scar treatment Bonnie- Thanks.
