And I just can't believe that it's that they don't care. I wonder if it's that

they can't?? How could a grandma not care about her grandson serving in another

country? I wonder if it's that it's too painful to care?

On the other hand, I get that same reaction from my mother regardless of what

I'm talking about; how painful can it be to talk about a corn on my foot??

I love your description of our voices being like static; that is right on. I do

feel like I'm just white noise in the conversation.

Sigh.
