Guest guest
Carol, You ALL are in our prayers. I'm so sorry that your family is facing this difficult time...Please tell me that the military notified you of his whereabouts and condition prior to his call. My heart aches for you! Guest guest
Doug called us today, and he has been in a coma the last month in Walter Hospital in DC. Sept 6, he was injured in a car bombing aimed at his convoy in Nahjaf. He is currently in a wheelchair and in need of more surgeries and treatments over the course of the next 5 to 7 months, then they are going to discharge him from the hospital and the service. He has extensive liver and kidney damage from parasites in the water and food in Iraq. Also his gallbladder will be removed from gallstones. Please keep him, his wife Heidi, and our family in your thoughts and prayers. Carol

Guest guest
Carol, Your son and his family are in my thought and prayers! As a former Military Policeman in the Army, I very much appreciate his service to all of us who benefit from the protection to our freedom that he, and others provide through their sacrifices. I pray also that he will know his efforts and duty are very much appreciated by most all of us who are unable to help, but bennefit from his duty, and this will give him strength and resolve to fight through his injuries. Take care and send him our best, Mark (40) Resident Brother-In-Law, Stage IV PSC, UC, and Downs Syndrome > Doug called us today, and he has been in a coma the last month in Walter > Hospital in DC.
