Guest guest
I am so bummed out. I went back to the oral surgeon yesterday because I was sure that intense aching pain in my lower right jaw was from an infection. When I had the oral surgery last month the dentist said I had some infection so I thought the infection was still there even though I had been on antibiotics. They took another x-ray and there is no infection. SO, that leaves it being Trigeminal Neuralgia. The oral surgeon went through the whole explanation of the trigeminal nerve and where it is as if I didn't know. lol For those who aren't familiar with Trigeminal Neuralgia nerve here is a website that shows a pretty good illustration of the where the nerves are and the pain path. TN is actually pretty common in MS. A neurologist told me it was around 30% of MSers have TN. http://www.womenfitness.net/trigeminal_neuralgia.htmSo, no antibiotics will cure this. Darn it! I was really hoping for an infection! rofl I already knew the TN was responsible for the pain in the upper teeth with extreme sensitivity in every tooth and I had increased my Neurontin from 1200 mg. to 2400 mg. Now that I know the lower pain is also from TN I have gone ahead and increased the Neurontin yet again by another 400 mg. I will see my neurologist next Wednesday the 31st. That's it... I just wanted to share this news with my friends.hugs))Sharon This email is a natural hand made product.
