Guest guest
I don't understand how the extra- and intra-hepatic ducts could be OK if the left lobe is shrunken. I don't know how you tell the difference between a totally occluded duct and " maybe " stone. Personally, I'd go back to Mayo (bring your films and history) and have them do an ERCP if it's warranted. My experience with Mayo and ERCPs has been very good, and much better than the locals. I'm much more comfortable with a Dr. that does them all day long, rather than one who does it once a week or less. My 2 cents. Arne 53 - UC 9/77 - PSC 4/00 Alive and (mostly) well in Minnesota -----Original Message----- From: Sharon Lee Botch Hi, All ....He told me today that the dye didn't go into a duct and therefore he thought that meant there could be a stone there. The last check-up I had a Mayo showed stones and I refused an ERCP. The doctor I saw today also said the left lobe of my liver had shrunk, but the extrahepatic ducts looked good and the inside likewise. He said I didn't present as a patient with PSC. So, my question is .. do I let him go in and do another ERCP and fish around for something he doesn't see or do I head North to Mayo again? I am soooo confused. I stopped by the office of my GP, and good friend, and he sugguested returning to Mayo. Any input would help the stress right now. Thank you all, Sharon Lee PSC 06/00 i think
Guest guest
I'll add my 2 cents to Arne's. We went to Mayo for the same reason.
