Guest guest
Randie - have you considered going on digest mode rather than getting individual emails (I apologize for not looking to see if you are already). I find digest mode great - one or two emails per day with all the Listen-up emails in one. I rely on email to communicate with folks I support so having a flood of email from a listserve wouldn't work for me - but digest is great. Thanks Barbara --- Randie wrote: I really enjoy this list and all the advice I get from here, but I'm still getting way too many e-mails that are just " thank yous, welcomes, and way to goes " . Please remember to send those just to the person it applies to so that others don't have their e-mail accounts overloaded. I keep losing important messages that I never even got to read and it takes me an hour even just to skim all the e-mail. --- end of quote ---

If you can't figure it out for your particular browser, and you want to reply to someone privately, please send me a message (offlist) and I'll be happy to let you know what the original address was. Re: a reminder If you've registered with Yahoo Groups (different from just Yahoo), then you'll be able to access the list via the web. If you can do that, just find the message you want to respond to and it will list at the top who sent it. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Listen-Up/message/17261 > I keep losing > important messages that I never even got to read I'm also guilty of this, and for that I apologize. I'll try to watch myself. One solution is to use the web to access the mail and not have it mailed to your email address. That way, you can save the mailbox for other stuff and still have access to this group. When I go out of town and will be accessing the group from another computer, I set myself to no-mail and via the web I can access this group no matter what computer I'm using to do so. I can also post messages, and do all sorts of stuff. You can change how your membership is mailed to you via this page: http://groups.yahoo.com/mygroups?edit=1 But remember, in order to be able to do anything concerning our group via the yahoo groups website, you have to register with them first. This is so that access to " our stuff " can be restricted to only members. I'm not very familiar with Hotmail accounts or how they work, but I've known some folks who set up a separate account for the email groups they belong to, and have one for other stuff. If the stuff you're losing is not from this group, you might wish to consider this. With 346 members now, this group is bound to be overwhelming at times, even if all messages posted to the list is on topic and " congrat " messages are sent privately. Kay kay@...
