Guest guest
Next time you talk to your fada, maybe you should tell him that maybe God should cast HIM into the " Sea of Forgetfulness " along with his sins! That would clean things up nicely. You're right - totally nutty. And I do despise those who cast their actions " as doing God's work. " My grandfather was a minister and an humble, honorable, faithful man. He never cited doing anything " in God's name " - he didn't need to. It came through in his actions. Guest guest
oh, geeze !!! well, your fada is true to BPD, it's not HIS fault, it's gods fault !! Jackie Okay, I got off the phone with Fada not too long ago and he calls to say that I should " at least " let the children (mine) call him and his wife some evenings because children know who is " there for them " and it will help them grow. I'm silent through all of this until he starts to tell me what my kids need to grow. I already gave up on the relationship but decided to take my birthday gift from him (we needed transportation) without any FOG. Ironic how I turned it around. We are LC and he keeps trying to test the boundaries, but I've stated the consequences, so everything was chill until this phone call. His response to trying to take my oldest son from me last year and his smear campaign was that it was God working through him. He said that he knew the night that my oldest son was born what needed to happen in the future. He fought it and tried to work his way around it every way he could to no avail. In other words God ordained him to DESTROY my life. As hard as it is to admit, this is the nuttiest thing I have ever heard come from his mouth and I told him God must have had an entity possess him as well, since there was no way he could've done this with a right mind. He also admitted this excuse to why he won't admit his wrongs because he doesn't " live in the past " and he's gotten his " heart right with God " and I should pray and do the same. He also says that I should forgive AND forget because God forgives us thens casts all our sins into the Sea of Forgetfulness (sounds like a freakin' fairytale, LOL!) Sorry this was so long. I haven't posted in a while and I wanted to share this and get some feedback. I'm not angry or upset, but rather amused. Especially after yesterday when I found out that my fiancee's family had a family breakfast where I was the topic of the morning. They were trying to turn the last family member against me that still cares, it didn't work. She came right back and told me everything. What is it with these people and isn't it strange how we attract them into our lives? Alana
Guest guest
Well said, Suzy. One of my pet peeves is when these whack jobs assume they are doing 'God's work' to justify their awful, hurtful actions. As a Christian myself, it offends me deeply. I think I am a relatively compassionate person, but when people do harm using that excuse, my patience is sorely tested. Actions really do speak louder than words, as your grandfather so wonderfully showed. Thx for the good words. take care, > You're right - totally nutty.
