Guest guest
Group, Well, I made it. I had my upper jaw moved forward and widen and my lower jaw moved forward. It is hard to tell how it looks because of the swelling, but in the post op x-rays everything lines up as it should. I have bands and I am splinted. I only get to take the bands out when I eat. It really tires me out to eat, but the more I eat, then the better I feel. My doctor said my swelling would be at a maximum today and I think it is. I am not bruised yet, but that still could come. My lips are already starting to get back to normal which is surprising to me. Just thought that I would take a moment to update you all. Thanks for the support, jaharri4

Guest guest
Jaharri, A big round of CONGRATULATIONS ! to you. It's amazing how tired out you can get just from trying to eat. I remember that so well. Sometimes the bruising follows behind the swelling by a few days. But everyone is different. wishing you continued success in your recovery. > Group, > Well, I made it. Guest guest
Hey! Congratulations! Welcome to the Other Side! You learned the trick that you have to keep eating to feel well, even if you don't feel like it or if your jaws get tired. Good job! Aren't those x-rays cool? Hopefully you won't get too much or any bruising. I only got some greenish bruising on my neck for a few days. Good to hear from you and keep on healing well! Irish! > Group, > Well, I made it.
