We did a little study at work (2004) around color " copies " . I was a bit

surprised that the color laser printer came out tops in terms of overall

costs. We compared offset printing to color copies (worst quality, highest

price, and terribly slow copy time) The difference in costs justified buying

" publisher " , a software package to assist in the effort. We are using a

pricey laser printer (around $3,000) but even at that we couldn't make the

numbers favor anything else useless we pushed into the tens of thousands. A

distinct advantage is that every print is an " original " and you can update

your information any time you please resulting in a up to the moment facts

sheet. The rainbow is your menu to boot! Also spending a little more on

paper makes a big difference. You want the look, feel and quality found in

good paper used by printers, not the 4.99 per ream stuff at Wal-Mart.
