This poll sounds kind of stilted. Either it cured your child or it's not working? What about adding some questions about it leading to major improvements and one for some improvements. You don't have to have a full cure from something to make it a valuable intervention. If it helps, it's worth investigating. > o Yes, but it's not working and has bad effect on my kid. > o Have not tried, considering about it. > This also leaves out the possibility of someone not using ABA, not currently considering it, yet not necessarily thinking it is not natural and too hard on the kid. Perhaps they chose a different approach because the other approach seemed more appropriate not because they thought ABA was hard on a child. Not wanting to cause any feathers to fly here but having spent a few years working as a research study writer and pollster, I'd say this is what you call a blazonly leading questionaire and not an appropriate way to get real information. Just my two cents... G
Guest guest
i actually have used both the public health dept. and a private doctor's off for all of my kids shots over the last 12 years plus when my children were born they received some shot before they left the hospital. kristine wrote: Enter your vote today! A new poll has been created for the group: Did your autistic child receive shots from a private clinic (ie: Kaiser) vs. a state run clinic? I have an email from the Oregon Health Dept. stating the combination of vaccines they used did not provide a risk to their clients, (i'm assuming they use single dose vials). o Private Clinic o Public Clinic To vote, please visit the following web page: /surveys?id=1002099 Note: Please do not reply to this message. Guest guest
I voted for separate lists. I am interested in both! The reason I voted for two separate lists is what I don't have time for and am not interested in is the slew of bickering over this issue. I think we are all stressed more than enough and if this is the way to make peace on this, then I have no problem belonging to separate lists and keeping others happy. I think almost everyone on this list has contributed greatly and I have learned alot from all of them and would hate to have not had their contributions and knowledge shared on both biomedical-mercury issues as well as political. Guest guest
Jo- I agree but I cannot deal with the bickering-which to me makes even more digest that I don't care to read. I also have been posting political action stuff for the exact same reason as you, plus, being a special ed. teacher, I see som many kids injured that I feel I have to do something about it. What is the solution to this problem? C. Since I'm one of the key people sending political posts, I would be happy to stop if that is what the majority wants. I'd like to point out that for me personally, government and politics are all part of the autism treatment subject. If we can't change things through our government, then I for one am screwed because I can't afford to do chelation, supplements, and all the testing that goes with it. The only way to bring change including getting insurance to cover everything to do with autism treatment, is to get laws changed and this will only happen if we all pull together and demand this. I'm trying to get the provisions removed from the Homeland Security Bill so that we parents can be compensated when vaccines are proven to have caused harm and be able to afford everything that might help our kids. I'm trying to reach as many people as possible and this is a big list. I can read about chelation and how to help my kid all day long but if I don't have the money to do this or insurance won't cover it, what's the point.
