Guest guest
Dear Susie,It's great to hear from another fundraiser! We are a very small group who need all the help we can get. Please email me privately at ldbria@... if you would share your talents with us. We try to keep the work of fundraising off these post except for notices. For more information definitely start by going to our website. www.pscpartners.orgThere you will learn that we are called PSC Partners Seeking a Cure. We are a 501[c]3 non profit. Our purpose is to provide patient education, promote organ donor awareness and most importantly support medical research so that we can change the outlook of PSC..Here's what we have to offer so far. Partners gives you a free newsletter each month. Just sign up on our site for email notification of the next issue so that you won't miss one. You might want to look at the issues that you have missed which also have links on our site. Since we are a new foundation and our newsletter is new, you have only missed six issues so you can easily catch up. Last spring we sponsored our first conference which was great and we will have our next one in Pittsburgh next spring. Watch for details. We have a literature site that is being accessed by thousands of patients and physicians. We have the bracelets to spread out donor awareness and a link to register to be a donor. We are in the process of getting a brochure ready to help those who are newly diagnosed. We are looking into research projects so that we can find a treatment and cure for PSC. This is probably the most important and of course the most expensive which is why I am on the lookout for more ways to bring in money to the foundation. It is time to change the course of this disease. On our site you will find the links to all our fundraisers. Krogers is the best. This is a great program because it is free to us and the money comes from Kroger. If you have any relatives or friends that shop at a Krogers anywhere in the country you can have them get our card or you can give them to them as gifts. We are national and only just beginning. More details on our site. Our next program is also free to us and not only brings money into partners but helps clean up our environment. Just call 1- and ask for the free plastic mailers to be sent to you. Then just put your old ink or laser cartridge in and drop it in the mail. Give out the envelopes to everyone you know who uses a printer. It's free to us and makes money for the foundation. More details on our site. Just click on recycling. The note cards are 6 for $10.00 plus $1.00 for shipping and are really nice. The wristbands are 1-25 for $2.00 each plus $2.00 shipping. Cheaper if you get more. I went through 300! I had the boys choir sell them as well as giving them to everyone I know. All the links and more information are on our site. The wristband link will give you all the details.Anyway you can help the foundation will be great. We are also looking for letter writers for corporate donations and any new ideas to help with funding. These are actually exciting times and all our members have been jumping in to help. The people that run this site are awesome. Sharing polls and giving us the feeling of being connected to each other. Some posts not only give support but the latest news and articles having to do with PSC, UC and organ donation. This is so helpful. Glad you have found us, hope you can help us and be helped by us.Lee mother of Bill 22 PSC/UC 06/04 J pouch 06/05 and still recovering
