Differential diagnosis

I have run into this a couple of times now and it just does not feel right to

me. Doc dictates:

Abdominal pain predominantly in epigastric and right upper quadrant and right

flank. *Differential diagnosis includes* peptic ulcer disease,

gastroesophageal reflux disease, cholelithiasis/cholecystitis, nephrolithiasis,

and, less likely, appendicitis.

I want to say " differential diagnoses include, " but I always hear it dictated as

above. I can't say for sure, but it is quite possible I have only heard this

phrase from this one doc, so this could be wrong.

What do others think?
