Guest guest
Sharon, The crampy feelings are completely normal. My dr told me to expect it for about 24 hrs. I've also heard that pg is easier to achieve after the test, but I don't remember why. I'm so happy that your left tube is clear. Good luck this month. Guest guest
Hi I had my HSG in April and i felt all the things that you are feeling now. My chest area was sore and it felt so heavy. I could hardly walk straight because my tummy was painful and i had cramps. All this lasted for about 3 or 4 days then i just brand new again. It will pass after a few days don't worry about it, just make sure that you move around and do not lie down tooooooo much. I have been taking Clomid (50mg) for the past 3 months and this is my fourth month, and i have not experienced any side effects. I am on Clomid and ttc with iui, this is my fourth and last iui. I just want to say that the Clomid has played its part in that its been effective is helping me ovulate every month, but i havent fallen pg. I know the problem is with me, i only have one tube on the right and that was repaired after the 2nd ep, the left tube was removed with my first ep. The HSG showed the right tube was not blocked but unfortunately i havent fallen pg since my first iui in June.I think that is coz it is not completely clear. The Clomid has helped in that i have ovulated from the right tube every month. Hope i helped and good luck. Love Shamiso > Well everyone I had my HSG yesterday finally. I am still really crampy this morning - is this normal? It kind of feels like an upset stomach. The dye went all the through my left tube - YYEEAAHH!!!! My dr said that my tube still looks great just as it did when we lost the baby in March. I have been praying for the good news. She put me on 50mg of Clomid for a 3 month period of time to hopefully enhance my chances of pregnancy and give me a little extra boost. > QUESTIONS: > 1. She said some people get pregnant after an HSG because of the dye actually clearing little thngs away if there was actually anything small - has anyone here ever heard of or gotten pg after their HSG?? She told me to go home and ml bd every other day for the next 10 days and maybe we won't have to take the clomid. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. > 2. Who has taken the clomid? Did you have any side effects? Did you have any luck and if so, how long did it take? Is there any inside iinformation that anyone can give me regarding clomid? > 3. After the HSG is it normal to be crampy and a little gasie? My stomach feels achy so I won't to make sure it's normal. > > Well thanks everyone for listening. I'm sorry I haven't kept up on my e-mailing and posting but I've been working 2 jobs so I'm really tired. I'll try to keep up. Welcome to all the newcomers and sorry we have to meet like this but you'll find a lot of great people here who really care. > > Take care everyone, > Sharon > > >
Guest guest
Hi Sharon, I too had my HSG yesterday. I felt mild cramping throughout the day. I feel much better today. My left tube is clear as well, but my right tube is completely blocked. My doctor did not suggest clomid yet...maybe i should ask about it. I have had an ep and 2 m/c this past year. My doctor told me that it is very likely that i could become pg after this test, he said many women do. My friend had one and she was pg the very next month. Good luck to you! -Abigail >From: sns0518@... >Reply-To: ectopicpregnancyegroups >To: <ectopicpregnancyegroups> >Subject: Update on my HSG >Date: Thu, 07 Sep 2000 06:51:02 EDT > >Well everyone I had my HSG yesterday finally. Guest guest
<< 1. She said some people get pregnant after an HSG because of the dye actually clearing little thngs away if there was actually anything small - has anyone here ever heard of or gotten pg after their HSG?? I have heard that it is possible. 2. Who has taken the clomid? Did you have any side effects? Did you have any luck and if so, how long did it take? Is there any inside iinformation that anyone can give me regarding clomid? I took 50 mg for 5 months. I had some of the side effects for the first couple of months, but I don't really remember which ones. Guess they couldn't have been THAT bad, huh? I'm pretty sure I had the hot flashes. 3. After the HSG is it normal to be crampy and a little gasie? I remember feeling a little crampy after, but I don't remember how long it lasted. Guest guest
Sharon, 1. Yes, I did get pg after my first hsg back in 1996. The ob/gyn that I was going to at that time said she had a couple of pts who could only get pg after having one. So I have high hopes for you the next couple of months. 2. I took clomid back in 1996 and I don't remember any side effects, but I just started clomid w/this cycle a 11 days ago (I took it days 5-9) and had the headaches this time. They weren't earth shattering ones, just more annoying ones. I took the clomid before I went to bed and when I woke up is when I'd notice the throb and it lasted until about 10:00 am. I of course didn't take anything to relieve the pain, so they may have left earlier had I done so. Good luck! 3. I felt tender and bloated after mine for about the following 24 hrs., hopefully you will feel better tomorrow. Take care and hope this little bit of info was helpful. Guest guest
Amy, I got pg. my second month after my HSG. We tried for 11 months before with no success. My doc. told me alot of woman conceive in the first 3 months following and HSG as it can actually get rid of some of the cobwebs in there. It certainly worked for me! Unfortunately I don't know much about clomid though. best of luck Sonja Re: Update on my HSG << 1. Guest guest
Sharon When I had my fist HSG last year I started Clomid the month after. I did get pg. It was my third month after my HSG and second on Clomid. ALthough it was my ep. But I now know that even though it showed my right tube was clear it wasn't. Thats the tube I had my ep in. When I had my lap this year I had a lot of adhesions on that tube and the other tube also. AS for side effects. I had headaches for the 5 days I took the meds and hot flashes through out the month. Mostly at night. Also I never had sore boobs when af was due. But I did w/Clomid. Good Luck!! Pam
Guest guest
That's good to know. I would rather this not take a lifetime but we'll keep trying. I am worried about the fact that when they were doing the HSG, at first they said they couldn't find my tube. When I had my surgery they told me they had to remove my tube but yet it was still there. They said while doing the procedure that since they didn't see any dark coloration on the monitor that the dye went all the way thru my tube and out the other end. I really hope they are correct and not playing around. I guess we'll see soon huh? Sharon
