Why do I struggle with LC and NC

This is a very valid question. Why , indeed? If nada were anyone else in

the world, and treated us as they do, we would shake the dust off our

shoes and never look back. So why not with them?

I submit the answers are threefold.

We struggle because we are conditioned by nada to put her needs above

our own. She needs us. Never mind that she is toxic to us. We can t

deprive her of us.

We struggle because we continue to think, and hope, right up to the end,

that nada will finally, somehow, wake up one day and be Mom.

And we struggle because despite it all, we are decent, compassionate

people, and have a hard time doing the best thing for us if it hurts

someone else.

Is it right? Is it just? Maybe not, but as adults we learn that life is

not fair, life simply is.
