congrats on your growing baby boy!!!:) that is so great!! Doesn't it fell

good to know that all of that growing is coming from what only you can give

him?:) Makes me feel good that I can not only provide it.. but row a

thriving baby off it:) Wow he is a tall one!:) I know paige is tall and

big and she is only 23 inches and a pound heavier than bart:) my doctor

said the same thing about food at 6 months and wanting rice cereal for the

iron. must be on the Dr. " to do list " hehe:) Jenn

Good job! Sounds like you have a good pedi.

2 month appt.

Bart had his 2 month appt today. His stats are:

Birth:

8 lbs 14.5 oz

20 inches

head: 14 inches

2 month:

12 lbs 12 oz

24 inches

head: 16 inches

He's gained nearly 4 lbs on mommy milk! I'm so proud. I think he's

going to be tall. Everything else was fine except the ped thought he

heard a small heart murmur. He wasn't too concerned and said he'd

check again next time at 4 months. I was pleased that he said solids

no earlier than 6 months, howevever he did recommend a little rice

cereal at 4-5 months for the iron. I just nodded, but I doubt I'll do

that. We decided not to get any shots this time. He gave us the

" party line " , but told us it was ultimately up to us. I'm glad he

didn't try to pressure us.

Kristi,

I know what you mean about having a small baby. Abby was 7lb 14oz at birth but

at her 2

month check up was only 9lbs. And at her 4mo check up was only 12lbs She is

just know in

size 2 diapers. Everyone comments on her petite stature. I was worried about

her for

awhile. I always have really large babies but the ped said she was fine just

small.

She goes for her 6mos appt in about 2 weeks so we will see if she has gained

alot. I guess

she is probably about 15 lbs now.

Wow! What a great experience! I am glad to hear someone who had an excellent

experience! Nice to know. My dh had an hmo prior to us being married and we

had good luck with it too.

Kristi,

My first son was 5 lbs when he was born and 19 1/2 inches too. People would

always ask me if he was a preemie...which offically, he was. It is so

difficult not to compare children's weights, crawling times, etc. Just

remember they are so unique and will progress at their own rate.

I have now had both kind of babies and my back really liked the lighter one. My

son is causing me to get frequent chiropractic work.

I know what you mean. My son was 6 lbs 3 oz at birth. I don't remember all

his other appoinments but at 15 months he was only 20 lbs 8 oz. Everyone

says how small he is. He is 17 months now, not sure how much he has gained

but he still fits all his 12 month clothes, 18 month are huge on him. Doc

got me all worried but they when my mom and I looked back at me and my

brothers and sisters we were all small babies. Now my Angel was 7 lbs 11 oz

at birth, she has her two week check Mon so we will see how she is growing.

But all babies grow at different rates. My cousin has a baby was 7 lbs

something at birth and was 20 lbs by 6 months!!

Kristi,

Yes, healthy babies come in all shapes and sizes.

Yesterday in the store we saw a baby (a girl) who was

4.5 months old and wasn't much bigger than Bart. Today

on our walk we saw a little baby who couldn't have been

older than 1 week. She seemed a lot smaller than Bart

ever was. The funny thing is, I was a big baby, but am

a naturally slender (small boned) adult. go figure!

Actually it looks like Kaitlyn and Bart have gained

similar amounts in almost the same amount of time -

nearly 4 lbs and nearly 4 inches...they just started

out different! :)
