Treating viruses has helped my daughter tremedously. A natural anti-viral is

lysine but remember treating viruses kicks up yeast so you need something strong

(not nystatin) for yeast. I would pester your doctor for a script of valtrex and

diflucan.

hi. welcome back to biomed!!!! My daughter just had a fever and

everytime she does, she is more clear, calm and concise. What is the

reason for this?? I kind of figured that the fever is " weighing " her

down so she can't be moving all the time, this in turn gives her a

chance to think more clearly. But since you mention it, what is the

biomed connection here?? Also, if she has to be on an antibiotic, she

is always much improved during and shortly after??

Thanks.

HI! We're new and back to Biomed

Hi, a quick intro. My name is Kathy, I have a 9yo ds who was one of

these kiddos who upon vax at 17mo with MMR broke out in full blown

measles with speech cessation. We were on top of it and in therapies by

19mos. Started supplementing by 32 months (back in 2005). On and off

supplements for years. Finally dx'd pdd at 36 mos. Today his current dx

is Aspergers and has done so well SSI denied him based on + potential.

Because he did have a full blown measles " reaction, " the more stories I

read, the more I think he would be a kid to benefit from anti-viral

therapy but our DAN! doc didn't implement it.

Cost has kept us from returning to our DAN!'s office recently but we

have to do this and there is a new doc in the office.

Our ds has made tremendous strides. To us he's " right there " - he's

right on the cusp of coming through the fog.

He's the type of kid that with a fever is appropriate. The conversation

improves, the appropriateness improves, and the " back and forth "

improves.

So we're starting our journey again but starting back on supplements

and calling the new DAN! doc for eval re: HBOT and anti-viral therapy.

Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thank you!

Hi. I actually think that makes a LOT of sense. (In my opinion)

A fever is a natural reaction from the body to " heat " up the body to kill off

pathogens and bring the body back to normal status. It would seem to me - that

during that time, a lot of germs, viral stuff, is being zapped and therefore,

being removed from the load.

My guess is that -- your child would definitely benefit from this type of

therapy (viral, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal) -- and my guess is the load is

high...and when you go off the meds, the body doesn't have enough resources to

kill the remaining (and therefore, they regroup!).

I have been using a product called MMS - for my brother Rob (25), and he gets a

measles type rash, along with Lyme type rashes as well. The problem that I have

been having is that he gets jaundice during that time - which indicates a high

stress load on the liver. I am trying to crack that code right now, as I want

these results to be permanent. My DAN and I are trying to come up with a

solution and we haven't really done a great job as his jaundice returns. (It's

SO frustrating!)

So, YES, this makes a lot of sense to me. As my brother, I get very good

results when he had a fever...- which is how I came to the conclusion that viral

load is probably a major factor for him. (and he has had every vaccination under

the sun including flu shots, etc.)

So, I know that lots of people on this forum have tested for viral load - I

would ask what test, and what to test for.

My kids had a fever a couple of weeks ago and were extremely pleasant to be around. I attributed it to them not eating much and therefore not reacting to the foods LOL Also I did use ibuprofen for my son who has febrile seizures, and thought that maybe the anti-inflammatory properties of it might be helping him not be such a spaz (he's pretty hyper)

Hey guys,I've been looking for a thread exactly like this one.  My entire family has caught an awful viral infection (of course from my son's ABA therapist who so professionally came to our house sick as a dog).  It has been spreading like wildfire (husband, 2.5 yr old ASD, 3 month old, myself and my mother who came to help us for 3 hours!!! all caught it).  It has cold symptoms plus fever/flu achy symptoms.  The strange thing is that today both my son and I have new rashes which seem very viral to me.  He has a big splotch on his butt and I have a psoriasis-looking spots on my elbows and upper ankles.  So far only my strep test came back and I tested negatively for strep but I am so paranoid about the kids, like what my ASD son needs right now -- to become a PANDAS kid on top of a gut kid!  In any case, we've been majorly combating yeast so far and now I'm so scared we have to switch gears.  I am doing a damp-sock treatment on both kids right now to try to drag the virus out but does anyone have any other suggestions?  Son is on nystatin and an anti-fungal diet right now.

Thanks so muchLeah
