If you'd rather not give me the answer - but point me in the right direction - I'd be very grateful!!! I've tried looking in Dorland's and the word lists at MT Desk, Google and Atomica. I think I'm just not even close in my spelling so I'm not getting anywhere. The report I'm transcribing is a History and Physical Evaluation Report. The patient is a male with rectal cancer. " Three to four months ago, he noticed a flattening of his stool and the onset of straining without a bowel movement, i.e. s/l kenesnis. " I've been looking through my course materials to try and find a term that means " straining without a bowel movement " but haven't had any luck. Thanks very much!!
