I may be getting a lot more closer than I think to finding the cause for a lot of this stuff. My doctor wants me to be tested for TB the next time I go in.The more I think about it,and look into it,the more sense it makes.I always knew my autism was triggered by meningitis, when I was five months old.My mother always said I was in an iron lung at the time.Meningitis doesn't usually involve the lungs, unless there is TB involved. Is this right? My mother told me a few years ago,she tested positive for TB many times, starting when she was a child. So she very likely had latent TB while carrying us.TB can cause GI and joint problems similar to the ones my sister and I have. This got me thinking about Lyme, which can both pass from mother to baby, like TB can,can be latent in the mother, but can emerge in the baby, and as been linked to autism, but how about other infections?

Are there other infections the mother can pass to the baby that have been linked to autism?

How does this differ from PITANDS?

Have unvaccinated babies, become very sick with Lyme, and then developed autism?Do they develop chronic medical problems similar to Lyme in addition to autism ? Are there regressions after flares?

Infections like TB and Lyme are usualy associated with being immunocompromised, especially if they can lead to something like autism. Are there specific immune abnormlities in LIA?
