Guest guest
Kim, I am not post op so I can't really answer your question, but....to give some encouragement I would like to say that 23 lbs in less than a month is absolutely terrific!!! Congrats!
Guest guest
Kim, I had my surgery on 5/14 and after reading so many notes I think it is normal to lose weight slower if your around 250. I went into surgery at 261 and have lost 16lbs to date. I've noticed many people have lost up to 20lbs in there first week. I would be interested in knowing your progress since we are close in weight and time of surgery. Congratulations on your weight loss so far. I think you've done just great. Guest guest
Hello Kim, I too am losing weight about like you. I lost 17 pounds pretty fast and then it slowed down. I now have lost a total of 23 pounds since surgery on 05/10/99. Glad to hear you're doing well. I feel WONDERFUL!!!
Guest guest
Hi guys! I didn't mean to get anyone down about my weight loss (-19lbs)......We must remember that I am probably much more heavier than any of you......Going in I weighed 318 lbs......I was given IVs around the clock........and Did nothing but drink liquids for the past week. That's probably why my weight lost is more than some.....It's only been a week..... Mine too will decrease. Be proud of what you have lost!!!!! You all have done wonderfully.....Never have I heard from any post-ops here of NOT losing any weight.........Share this glory with me. OK........... I really don't mean to brag, HELL I'm just happy. If it had been 5lbs you guys would have gotten the same post from me....... da Charlotte SD May 19 minus 19lbs

Guest guest
Hi, I need input from post-ops. I was wondering if it is normal for someone who starts out around 250 lbs to lose much slower than the average. I started at 255lbs, surgery on May 5. I lost 20 lbs in about 2 1/2 weeks. Since then my weight loss has slowed to about 2-3 lbs. per week. Just wondering if anyone else has had this same experience, or am I doing something wrong. I appreciate any and all advice. Thanks!! Kim post-op surgery 5/5/99 down 23 lbs. FEEL GREAT!!!
