Tammy, you have to do what Avonex says and write that letter. Sharon has this in our groups files: http://f1.grp.yahoofs.com/v1/gCIlR8o1uBIwb903L91S1ifQSphkxxXJdCVbcNr1aMiUfleA2tFt5LgD_EygjtDZhqFWWS0nKYoH-7aCQFQ7s5jS3Po5CfzDoMg/Help%20with%20MEDS Call 1-800-FIGHT MS and it will connect you to your local MS society. Ask them if they can help you for one month or what they suggest. Good luck. I've been through what you're going through. x0x0x0 Shirley Tammy in Texas wrote: Well, Avonex said we made too much money on our 2006 tax return to qualify for assistance. Well, duh?! That's gonna be around $500. Sorry, I won't even get that much for my last check from work on Friday. I just don't know where else to turn. My health insurance provided won't help because we are still paying on a high bill from them and there is $350 left on it. Can you believe that? I tried the link and it won't work, Shirley. Hopefully it's just me. <g>

In any case, there are links to some of the med assistance programs in the list's links. But, I'm going to try and c/p the info you linked to the list, or see if I can send it antoerh way.

Thanks, Shirley! You're on top of things! :o)

If you can't afford your meds please check into these programs! Sometimes they will cover your co pay or your entire cost if you don¢t have insurance. Some will cover the coverage gap on Medicare Part D. You can also look for the manufacturer of the medication and then ask them if they have a patient assistance program. Please don¢t go without your meds because you can¢t afford them. Good luck!

Challis; I sent a whole list as well, some of which include one of yours, and I

thought that Sharon had added my post's data to the data-base--maybe not,

but in any case, I lack the digital fortitude to paw my way through all those

posts to locate the blooming thing.

I know, gang; how WILL you all get through the night without another LINK?

Most of these I have tried once. I think tomorrow I will spend the day trying again. Maybe if they know it's just for one time this time, they can help. Love to you all! O, one thing happened this weekend. I visited my mom over the weekend and they gave me a suprise party for my birthday. Well, they tried to make it a suprise, but my 6 yr old kinda spoiled that! LOL Anyway, i really haven't told my mom how bad I've really gotten, but now she knows. She had t catch me and keep from following when we were in teh pasture for my suprise party. I lost my balance and she had to graby my arm to keep me form going down. I love her, but that look in her eyes just killed me. I did tell her that I was having difficulty walking and that sometimes i looked drunk when I was walking. she thought it was kinda funny when I told her, but that look told me she didn't realize how

serious i was. Hated seeing that in her eyes! Anyway, thought i would share in case someone here hasn't been completely honest or has tried to soften the truth a bit. don't do it, that look hurt me.Smyelin groovy wrote: I tried the link and it won't work, Shirley. Yep! I believe it is very important to be candid

about it. I made the mistake of going into denial for

several years. My family be as ignorant as they are

didn't bother to find out what MS was, and because I

was trying to pretend that it was no big deal, that's

exactly how they took it. Now that they can see I'm

having problems, they have recently all moved away

from me. They just don't want to have to deal with it.

Of course, I'm taking the blame for it, it was a

stupid thing for me to do.

I am sorry for you near fall, but I am glad that your

mother was there for you.

May I second what Val has said:

Yes! If they do not " get it, " they might

think that it is some kind of attention-getting

ploy! And that would not assure safety for any

person with MS.

Love to Val, Tammy and to all in our group,

I'm not sure if my Mom has added it yet or not (maybe to MSersHealth?), but I do have it set in a folder where I keep things to be added to the links as soon as a day and memory allows. :o)

Oh yeah... and the info I sent was simply copied from the file Shirley was sharing on MSersLife's site. Not the links folder where all the links should be... and the information you're remembering may already be in there. :o)

{{{{{{{{Tammy/Tammy'sMom}}}}}}}} I can imagine how it felt, for either of you. It leaves me almost to tears.

Re: Need Help

Tammy, you have to do what Avonex says and write that letter.

Sharon has this in our groups files: http://f1.grp. yahoofs.com/ v1/gCIlR8o1uBIwb 903L91S1ifQSphkx xXJdCVbcNr1aMiUf leA2tFt5LgD_ EygjtDZhqFWWS0nK YoH-7aCQFQ7s5jS3 Po5CfzDoMg/ Help%20with% 20MEDS

Call 1-800-FIGHT MS and it will connect you to your local MS society. Ask them if they can help you for one month or what they suggest.

Good luck. I've been through what you're going through.

It is there. I added n's information to the links I already had in the group files. and I just sent an email out with the information to the group. Now--I've covered all my bases!Sharon This email is a natural hand made product. The slight variations in spelling and grammar enhance its individual character and beauty and in no way are to be considered flaws or defects.
