Guest guest
, I couldn't agree more! I wish I had a TA all the time but with our school levy failing twice I know it will never happen. I welcome TA's in my room when one is assigned to one of my students. Lynn I got a job! Hey all. Things are good here! I went for a couple of interviews this past week and thought I would never get a job. How wrong I was! I got two offers. I am going back into the regular ed system as a paraprofessional in special ed. Yea! I am also going to make more than I ever thought, with full benefits. It is going to be a school year with school hours so I can continue to take time and help Patty with whatever she needs! Yea! And-the teacher sounds like I am going to like her tons! And- I can finally look to finishing my degree and this is a school wich I was told hires within! Sounds good right! Well, I have more. Patty's hearing loss is at decibels in which she doesn't hear high pitch sounds. She drops off around 1600 to 2000. We were in the car getting ready to go and she was in the passenger seat with her window open. As I was getting my keys she was shocked and kept saying what's that sound, what's that sound. I sat and listened because I thought I didn't hear anything until I realized a bird was in the branches right outside her window singing away. Patty heard the bird. She is 19, almost 20 years old and she finally heard a bird! Talk about good fortune! Mentally I could figure out it was probably just the way the acoustics were set up but in my heart I think good things are coming her way. She heard a bird! Life's good.
