we were living in NJ at the time I had to iron..so I was under 9 years of

Unrealistic expectations, punishing a child for not having skills they're

not ready to handle, exposing a child to a harmful, dangerous object or

environment, that's definitely child abuse. I didn't have to start ironing

things for nada until I was around 10 or 11, and it still scared me because

sometimes I'd burn myself even though I was being careful, and if I scorched

anything it would get me screamed at and punished. I can't even imagine

asking a small child to handle a hot iron, that's just beyond my

comprehension. Its sadistic, is what it is.
