Guest guest
Could anyone provide direction regarding transmittal/policy/regulations as to whether physical therapy or occupational therapy services may be provided to a patient in their home setting? (Looking more at the Medicare side of this.) We have a patient who is living at home with spouse and attempting to attend OP PT sessions at our clinic. It is physically taxing for both the patient and his spouse and we see little benefit from treatment as he is fatigued by the time he reaches us. Therapists would like to see him in his home until he is strong enough to continue at the clinic. We are told that he does not qualify for home health as he does get out and go for car rides with his family.
