Guest guest
Hi Kim, Karlee's problems were not behaviorial. Her problems were in the lack of balance and neurological fatigue area. In the summer of 2000 Judith Bluestone did several training sessions for professionals in Waterloo, Iowa. They evaluated 10 individuals and Karlee was fortunate to be one of those. Waterloo was only 2 and 1/2 hours from us. I think we traveled there 5 times. We also did 2 follow up sessions in the Chicago area since. Judith was in Chicago in August for a training session. A teacher in my school district is taking the HANDLE training. I recently was in contact with Judith Bluestone, she mentioned that she would not be in the Chicago area for a while. from IL (Karlee 16 years) Handle - KimKim,I was reading your posting from Sept. 1 about your HANDLE evaluation. Guest guest
For Dylan also we went for all of the signs of neurological dysfunction, such as with his cranial nerves, states changes (including the frantic states, which some call behaviors), and the tics. Guest guest
, We are going to see Judith Bluestone on October 7th. We are very excited about this. In your last e-mail, you used the term neurological fatigue. What is that? Bryce 'zones " out many times a day for a bit. Is that what you are talking about? Did Handle help with that? Just yesterday, his HI teacher told me that her biggest hope for Handle is help with the zonig. Deedee
Guest guest
Deedee, Yes, that is basically what I mean. Karlee can only process so much information at a time before her brain has to " protect " itself by zoning out. Sometimes when she became fatigued I could ask her a question I knew that she knew the answer, it would take her soooooo long to come up with it. She does much better now. Even better muscle tone and balance helped with the fatigue because it was one less thing that her brain had to take care of. from IL (Karlee 16) Re: Handle - >, > We are going to see Judith Bluestone on October 7th.
