day and many days I can't do anything on it bcs it won't let me.

It's hit or miss.

Someone seen my picture from your page and of course, it was ny

Depp :) Gosh I love that man (not that way) Oh it was Challis and it

has brought up some great conversations about great looking men ;)

Talk to you soon seester!

:)

Oh, I changed my ID bcs I have been getting some messages from a

person I knew before and stopped talking to them.....at least I am

99% sure it's them so I am trying to stop them from finding me

knowing what I have always used before.

Take Care and God Bless You

ROFL!!

I've been around. I have been getting on myspace to

check my messages and comments. I just have trouble

viewing other peoples sites. It's this stupid AOL dial

up. It acts as if it's zapped my java from the

computer, leaving me unable to view certain content

such as videos and listen to music. So, I completely

understand how you feel with the browser issue. Have

you ever tried Firefox? I really like that browser.

And I don't think it has near the issues as IE. But,

I'm sure that's more just a matter of preference.

I did see your comment, and I thought I had replied

to it. You know, speaking of the music that Challis

made a comment to...For the life of me, I forgot what

music I put on my page. And because I'm unable to

listen to the music on mine or other peoples pages, I

don't know what anyone is listening to.LOL

It's very hard to keep up with the posts from this

group anymore. I was so used to getting the posts sent

to Outlook Express, now getting them in my yahoo

mailbox leaves me totally confused. So, I just post

messages, read the ones that reply to my posts. And

read what I can. If I hit on one that I can comment

on, I do. But, to tell you the honest truth. I really

am losing my mind. I'm not just saying that. I know it

comes out sounding like a joke at times, but I really

mean it. I am losing track of my conversations.

Skipping whole words or phrases out of sentences. And

at times, completely unable to form a coherent

thought. I dn't even want to tll you how many times

i " ve reread this eamail to see if I'm getting it

right. On my next post. I'll let you see what I mean.

I won't go back and correct anything. But, this

doesn't just apply to my writing skills. I'm having

trouble vocalizing as well. Tom asked me yesterday

when I noticed I was having trouble. I turned the

tables and asked him when did he start noticing? He

said it's been going on for about a month or longer.

Well, that may be true as far as the speaking goes.

But, the brain seepage has been going on for awhile.

Now...Speaking of ny Depp. I have only one word

to say about him. YUMMY!! LOLOL. But you know...the

older I get, the less I find any man really

attractive. I'll stay off that topic though. I don't

want to offend anyone. Especially, the gentlemen in

this group.

Love you bunches, seester...

Wow, So many things you have been through and doing. Trust me you are not loosing your mind, my husband is LOL. You may just be in a down time but could go back to normal soon. At least I will pray for that. I think I am going to delete my hard drive if this keeps happening. I had no problem until last week. About the music, I'll check your site. I just went to your site and posted a reply on your

blog. I also posted a bulletin. 'Bout the only thing I

could do today.

I'm gonna be alright. I have to be. And you're gonna

be alright too. Trust me. (wink)

Is there any other dial-up offered in your area you can get? People PC, or one of the others we hear of all the time and I can't remember any of them now (lol)? If you've loaded AOL on your computer, it'll bog everything down. Add dial-up in and you're a turtle in molasses. lol

I used AOL for years and years. I finally let it go with a mysterious Internet Connection hooked up every time I used the program. If I went through the web, it didn't load. Hmmm.

And I finally ditched the dial-up not so long ago. I understand exactly what you're going through! LOL So long I waited to see even one video. LOL

I think the song title shown was "Mas Grande Amor"??

I'm sorry you're having the cognitive problems. You've been in this for a while now... when you were falling or having trouble getting back up? And your cognitive function.

How much longer before you're covered by insurance?

Hugs,

Challis

http://www.juno.com/ I have neighbors here in California who use Juno through

their land (not cable) telephone line, and have excellent service; they mostly

post and are not super-techie; works for them and it is inexpensive.

Unlike AOL, it does NOT install a separate IE browser within your computer,

and install an entire computer within your computer, thus taking up gezillions

of hard disk space.

Also, you can use juno (this is NOT an advertisement) with any reliable land

line connection: AtT@T, Verizon, whatever, if that is all that you have. If

you

have a Gateway computer (this, too is NOT an advertisement) you can

set it to alert you when a telephone call is coming in. It is best if you have

some kind of answering machine or message service on the telephone line

so that you will not miss those RARE calls from doctors, or the more important

calls from family and friends!

Good luck!

Doesn't Juno also still offer free email? Though they used to require downloading of that email. Do they still, do you know?

There is also Hotmail, which I've never used.

And Yahoo mail, which I clearly use (lol).

And Gmail now.

I hear AOL does have web-based, free email offered now?

Any of the free email programs will work with a dial-up, or other, connection.

Some phone companies have, or work with?, programs which offer the Call Wave (and other names?) that n mentions. I've not used them. My phone company is too archaic. ROFL I've heard good things from those who do use them. Do you, n?

Challis~

I am using a free AOL trial disk at the moment. It

should be about time for my free time to expire. So if

I don't get DSL in the next week or so, I will once

again be off line. I can check my mail with what I

have now. I have internet service now because of the

free trial.

Any way you look at it though...my addy may change

again once I have a permanent provider. If it's by

dial up, it may stay the same as it is now. If it is

DSL, more than likely it will change because of the

change in my internet provider.

And now...LOL if I haven't completely confused you,

then I must have done something right, because I

succeeded in cofusing myself.LOL Nobody knows what's

going on in this head of mine...not even me.

Ahhh, now I see what you're saying....DOYYY.

I am using an AOL freebie disk. In order for me to get

online, it automaticlly dials a number. That's where

the dial up is coming from. Believe me if this wasn't

free, I certainly wouldn't be using AOL. But, since

I've still got phone service, I didn't know they still

had Juno, which I think you are correct. They are

free, or they were at one time. I don't know anything

about them really.

Oh yeah, now I remember. Yes, it's Mas Grande Amor. A

beautiful christian, contempory, latin song. Yes, I

have been having these problems with my cognitive

issues for quite awhile now. Can't remember exactly

when it started, but I know it's been at least 3

years. And I don't care what any Dr. says...it is

getting worse. It's at the stage now where I truly am

becoming scared. Really.

Tom says my insurance should be kicking in for my MS

in Dec. or Jan. Not that that will do any good.

Insurance only helps if you have the money to pay for

the co-payments. Shoot. My GP gave me a script for HRT

medication. I filled it once. With co-payment it was

$40.00. And this is a drug that I should be taking the

rest of my days. Ha ha ha! I've been out of it for

some time now. I don't even have $40.00 to have it

refilled. I don't suppose I'll die without it, but

I'll never be able to enjoy the romanic pleasures of

being a wife either. (If you know what I mean).

Atrophy effect a lot of muscles. (blushing) Oh well,

I've been celibate for 10yrs. What's another 20 or so?

Yes, there are dial up services here. Just not free

dial up. At this time, just having phone service is

really hurting us. And the only reason we haven't

turned that off, is because with my hubby's job, he

has to have fax service. We don't even use the phone

to talk on.

Yes, but that is just a mail program downloaded to your own

computer. It does not give you a connection to the internet.

I gathered that for some, just getting a connection to the inter

net was the problem. Several of my friends use and like Eudora,

too. I used to use Eudora Pro, but just find it easier to use webmail,

as the senders complete e-mail address arrives with each post and

I can easily add it to my address book.

Just typing out loud, again,

ROFLMHO!!

Yes, I had AOL once before. I tried to cancel my acct.

with them when I went the DSL route. I'm telling you,

these people really hate to lose business, even when

they're not making any money off of you. It took me

about 3 months before they finally stopped calling.

What I'm afraid of now, is they have my bank acct. And

I'm afraid they may try to take money out of my acct.

I don't think that would be a good idea, given my

state of mind these days. A hair-trigger personality,

isn't the only thing that's keeping me going. Whoa!!

I'd better be careful...I'm pretty sure that remark

can be taken in more than one way, huh?LOL

But, I may take what you said into consideration. Bad

internet service is better than no service...right?

Caution being the allegedly better part of valor (baaad pun),

I might suggest changing your bank account number, and

any debit or credit card numbers associated with said account.

Besides, Juno does not ask for cards, so far as I know--

I really am only using them as an example--NOT in their

employ--HONEST!

So cancel before they can take money from you. You can keep your AOL email BTW even after you manage to cancel, just download AIM (the chat thingy) and voila'! I use an AOL address and I don't even have AOL on my PC...although I might dl it for the kids stuff... Hugs Akiba -- Re: Val> > > > Challis~> > I am using a free AOL trial disk at the moment. Yep, that's the plan. If we get this apt., we will be

moving this week. I was going to cancel it the day

before we move. At that time, I may have all my mail

sent to my aol acct.. But, I may just have all my mail

in the group put on no mail until I'm able to get back

on line. The place where we're moving has free

high-speed internet. So as soon as we get a phone line

in, I'll be back online!:)

On MY time? I'm sorry...I don't know what you mean.

Although, by hubby really has the option of setting

his own actual work hours, he has tried that. But, in

reality...a cop is never " off " duty. He subject to

being called anytime day or night. And he has to make

himself available. We fight often about this issue

because I just don't understand why the have a chief

of police, when DH is the only one who is ever called

in. Of course, I'm not the only one who makes mention

of this. People in the department have also noticed

that he's the one who keeps the department running. In

fact, DH even goes out of his way to make the chief

look good. Okay....I'm rambling again. Suffice it to

say,

While typing this it occured to me that you may have

meant, " my time " being the ability to use the phone to

use the 'puter? Well, as we speak, it is very possible

that someone from DH's part-time job may be trying to

fax an appointment or something to him. They won't be

able to because I'm using the line right now. But, in

that case, I feel they can call him and he can call me

to let me know that I need to get off line for a few

minutes, so they can send the fax. His police job is

another story. They really have to need to fax

anything if he's " on duty " . He's already there. They

can give him whatever he needs at that time. It's when

he's suppose to be off duty that he needs the line

freed up.

I'm sorry if this sounds so stupid, but you have to

consider the source...LOL!

See...I knew great minds think alike!! Not to insult

you or anything.LOL Just meaning, I had mentioned to

my hubby the same thing. He's not too keen on the

idea, but this is coming from a man who knows nothing

about bank accounts, other than: Insert debit card,

retrieve outcoming cash.LOL One of the reasons our

acct. is overdrawn on a monthly basis. I told him that

I am taking his card and cutting it up. I dare him to

go to the bank and replace it. OHHH wait!!! Hold the

phone! I just had a lightbulb moment! I can call the

bank myself, have the acct. changed. Don't even say

anything to him about it. He can't make any

transactions that way! :))....OOPS! Bubble burst :(. I

can't do that. He has payroll checks automaticlly

deposited in the acct. He'd have to know about the

change in acct. so he can tell HR, so they can

directly deposit his checks.

More than likely, I'll just go ahead and cancel the

aol acct. Especially if we get this opportunity to

move in with this woman and share rent. I'm trying

real hard to not get my hopes up. I really am, but I

don't think I can articulately explain just how badly

I want to get outta this dump. And that free

high-speed internet is sounding so inviting.

<Snap,snap,snap> Calling collindar head...calling

collindar head...you're wanted back here on earth.

(That's the little voice in my head telling me to stop

daydreaming).LOLOL

I'm embarrassed to say this, but I will. I had AOL years ago and cancelled. I NEVER check my bank statements anymore, because my head is too foggy to sort through things. AOL charged me for an entire year, and I never noticed. They took it out of my checking. When I finally figured it out, I was pissed. But, not sure who I was pissed at more.... them or me.---- Marie Lee wrote:
