Guest guest
hi jody hi everyone...yes, my gallbladder/pancreas problems began soon after my daughter was born (i believe during pg. actuallly but the ob/gyn kept saying the pains were gas or ligaments stretching!!!) i just started taking birth control pills a couple of months ago because my mom was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and the drs said it was better to NOT ovulate to help prevent cancer...then i had the first attack i've had in years last month...i was just wondering if there could be a connection...but we had a bad stomach virus last month too!!! Guest guest
I take estratest, a hormone replacement therapy, since my hysterectomy. I have heard that hrt and bcps can be hard on the panc. My doctor hasn't said anything about it, though. I'm going to ask him about it Monday when I go for a check up. 12:24 PM Subject: Re: hormones To: pancreatitisonelist does anyone take birth control pills??? i wonder if there is enough estrogen in them to cause problems like pregnancy?? Guest guest
I started hormone replacement therapy and my internist recommended a patch (combipatch) so there would be no strain on my liver. You might ask your doctor. Kathy
