Guest guest
Hi all, I live in Westford and I hope all of you who want to meet my angels get the chance one day. They truly are the reason I go, go, go when I feel like just sitting down and staying down. Although I'm new to my WLS search, I have researched it a lot on the Internet and feel I'm pretty informed. You guys though give me the real nitty-gritty of what day-to-day life is like. THANK YOU!!! Since I'm currently exploring surgery at the Brigham it doesn't seem likely I'll meet any of you at any of the support group meetings. For that reason alone I'm considering changing docs. I've had one consultation with Dr. and he didn't do much for me. I've read a lot about Dr. Randall out of Lawrence Memorial and Dr. Thayer out of Newton (?) Both of these programs have support groups, correct? Anyway, thank you for your great info and insight into a world I can only dream about (health and fitness). Guest guest
Yes they both do and its incredible being able to meet fellow post ops and preops each month, share, laugh, hug, bitch whatever! For me at 15 months post op this is what keeps me going when the newness of being a post op wears off. Whoever you use I strongly recommend you find a support group AND commit to going. Guest guest
Hey Cheryl, Yes, both NWH and LMH offer support group meetings monthly. I don't know about Dr. personally, but ask away! I'd LOVE to meet your kids (or any)...I ADORE kids! After all, I'm just a kid myself! LOL! If you should have any questions, concerns, feel free to ask away, that's what we're here for. We love talking to people! Have fun chasing the kids around! That's a challenge in itself! ps...even if you chose another surgeon, both LMH and NWH are open to the public, so we can still meet you either way, and sometimes we plan get togethers to hang out.
