I mean "Any" type of obsession ;)To: mb12 valtrex Sent: Thu, May 20, 2010 10:53:40 AMSubject: Re: Day 16 on Valtrex and Diflucan

Hi ,I would 100 percent increase the Valtrex to 500mg 3x a day. And type of obsession for us are parasites... check your son's stools...Alina helped us w/ that. Whenever we give Alina the OCD goes away. Originally I thought PANDAS, too (b/c of the OCD.) But then we did a DNA probe and it turned out to be parasites (which are VERY hard to treat!!!)Does your son do ABA? I know if my son only wanted to play w/the same one thing for hours our ABA would tell us that he could play w/ that (in our case it's doctor), for "5 minutes" (set a timer, so that he can hear the buzzer), and then move onto something else. You do not necessarily have to change it from trains, to let's say,

dinosaurs, or something that he's completely not interested in (the schema can stay the same), but just ask him, or show him, how to play it in a different way. For example, let him play w/ the trains the way he wants to for 5 minutes only, then play like you're both sitting on a train: He can drive the train, you can be the passenger and so forth, mix it up.....:) From: Mischa <mamamischa@earthlin k.net>To: mb12 valtrex@ yahoogroups. comSent: Thu, May 20, 2010 9:22:20

AMSubject: Day 16 on Valtrex and Diflucan We are on day 16 of our antiviral/antifunga l protocol. We have seen certain gains in speech, as well as very subtle changes in eye contact but so far nothing that would be classified as "wow", and I haven't noticed any type of rash. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to be seeing but I'm happy with ANY step in the right direction. My son is currently on 250mg Valtrex 3x per day and I upped his Duflucan to 100mg/day. He is 6 years old and weighs about 48 lbs. Does this seem right? Should we be increasing this? I had a hard enough time getting our DAN! to up his dose to 750mg/day but if he needs to

go up then I'll just pester him some more. lol. Is there anything else we should be looking at as well? I've read a lot of posts regarding LDN. Is this something we should consider? What about supplements? He is currently on: SCD-legal multivitamin SCD-legal antioxidant Magnesium, 400mg Zinc, 25mg Buffered Vit. C. L-Carnitine, 500mg. Enhansa, 600mg. Methyl B-12/folinic acid injections, every 2 days Fermented Cod Liver Oil, 1/2 tsp Homemade goat yogurt (for probiotics), 1/2 to 1 cup/day Cole does seem more focused, however we are noticing that he is becoming obsessed with trains again. He'll alternate between playing with his train set and watching Youtube videos of railway crossings, etc. We are trying to get him interested in other things but he would literally do nothing but play with trains or watch train videos all day long if we let him. It can also be very difficult to grasp his

attention, especially when he is scripting. His facial (mouth/eye) tics also seem to be worse at times. So far he has tested negative for both PANDAS & Lyme. I'm just not sure where we need to be going with this right now and any suggestions would be so appreciated. Thank you! Cole, 6, ASD

The dose for valtrex is fine for your son. 16 days is not very long.....give it a good 90 days. Some things you may want to add would be olive leaf extract, Imunovir, virastop , transfer factor and/ or LDN
