Guest guest
Yes, you can get hives from nerves. I used to. Also, you can have allergic reactions to things you breathe in, like something in the air at the hospital or at work. Someone using a new perfume, or a new scented soap. Also, allergies come and go in various degrees of problematic results. So, it could be something that you have been allergic to but the symptoms were mild enough that you didn't pay much attention to them at the time, but THIS TIME it is giving you heck. Also, a combination of factors making it all worse. This may not help much, except to confirm that you are not crazy. Get some hydrocortisone cream, it really helps. I will pray for you. Guest guest
Yes, you can get hives from stress alone. I can tell you a good example, I had a friend who was about five months pregnant and went to the movies with her husband to see " Twister " , when they got out of the theatre, there were black clouds, high winds and a tornado warning. Now she was from Minnesota, and deathly afraid of 'real' tornadoes, she broke out in huge welts and missed a day or two of work b/c of them, the doc said it was from nerves. I would try the Benadryl, if it doesn't work it will rule out any kind of allergic reaction, if that does not help I would guess it was a staff infection or something similar...your sure you didn't try ANYTHING different, a new fabric softner, a new vegetable or fruit, or maybe ate a larger amount of something you used to only have a tiny serving of before? It is strange how our body reacts to changes... Hope that helps Good losses to all Donna > Does anyone know if you can get hives from > nerves? Guest guest
Hi , I am sorry about all the stress. I hope that your Mom and uncle will be ok! As for the hives, I know that you can get them from just about anything. My son get them a few years ago, and the dr said that they can't even tell what made him get them. He has allergies out the wazooooo, but they said it could be caused by anything at all. My advice would be the same as the dr told me. Take the Benedryl and stay as comfortable as possible. Watch for any trouble breathing. Hope this helps! Maureen Hives? Does anyone know if you can get hives fromnerves? Guest guest
Sometimes the soap makers change formulas. Did you recently open a new bottle of detergent, a new bar of soap, a new bottle of shampoo (all your normal brand). I had this happen to me a few months ago, and it turned out that Tide had slightly changed their formula. Guest guest
Absolutely, hives can be caused by stress. Also, have you been around anyone that has chicken pox? Hives are caused by the same virus as the chicken pox your body just reacts a little differently. Try to take it easy and take your Benadryl for the itching. Aveeno bath also works well the help with the itching. Hope you feel better soon! |--------+-----------------------> | | | | | Conaty | | | <shan618@yaho| | | o.com> | | | | | | 01/29/2002 | | | 10:30 PM | | | Please | | | respond to | | | wwliterside | | | | |--------+-----------------------> >-----------------------------------------------------------| | | | To: wwliterside | | cc: (bcc: -C /BRE/AGFA/US/BAYER) | | Subject: Hives? | >-----------------------------------------------------------| Does anyone know if you can get hives from nerves?
