Guest guest
> This is a quick introduction about myself to the list. I am currently 27 weeks pregnant and on my third pregnancy. My eldest, , was born in 1994 at the RAF hospital in Germany. She was overdue by 9 days and after a long and agonising 38 hour labour things ended with an emergency C Section for signs of foetal distress. My second girl, Jodie, was born in 1996. By this time the RAF hospital had closed and she was to be born in a German hospital. After hearing horror stories about the German hospital I elected to have another section. I moved back to the UK about 3 years ago. When I got pregnant this time I was really surprised to be told that I could try for a vaginal delivery, I am going to discuss this with the consultant on Thursday. Hello and welcome Sharon. I'm also 27 weeks pg (due 23/9/00) and also had an emergency c/s last time (due to failed inductoin). This time I have hired an independent midwife and am planning to stay at home as long as possible - if things go well that means home birth too! If you want to discuss it more feel free to email me offlist. Helen
Guest guest
Hi Sharon, Welcome to the list. Hope all goes well on Thursday, if you decide to go ahead with a VBAC perhaps you could inspire my sil who was told not to bother trying to give birth naturally. She is 18 weeks pregnant with number 3 and already has her c-section date. She previously had two failed inductions. Take care,

Guest guest
Hi Sheila, My name is and I live in Daytona Beach am almost 40 and have one THR, then a revision on that same leg, and am looking into resurfacing on other. I have a date for surgery with Dr. Mont. and am trying to get insurance approval. I think it is great that you are looking into the resurfacing after what i have been threw with my THR and how it did not last i would never advise that as a first option especially at our age. I see so many older people that have had it and they are more active than me and i am jealous. Let me know what you think about the Dr. in Sarasota. I have a medicare HMO and know i will have a real hard time getting approval even though they told me in Baltimore if i can get a referral they can get it approved. They also screwed up real bad with me and caused me to have permanent damage of the other leg that i just had revision on. They had to send me out of area to Mayo for that and that Dr. said resurfacing would be a good option for me for the other leg. I still worry that when they get in there if for some reason they can not do resurfacing i will wake up with another total hip. Good Luck. Keep us posted. >From: sheila158@... >Reply-To: surfacehippy >To: surfacehippy >Subject: INTRODUCTION >Date: Sat, 12 May 2001 11:55:00 -0000 > >HI ALL, >MY NAME IS SHEILA AND I'VE BEEN READING THESE POSTS FOR ABOUT A MONTH >NOW.A LITTLE BACKGROUND ON ME...
