Guest guest
What's the name of the automated system that you are starting to use? We have had a few people ask us to stop calling, but the majority thank us for reminding them of their appointments. As we start the automated system, all patients will have the ability to " opt out " of being called by checking a box on our initial intake paperwork. We have cut down on our no show and cancellation numbers since we insituted daily calls. Tom Kaluzny PT Rehabilitation Services Manager Providence Mount Carmel Hospital 982 E. Guest guest
In my clinic, we call only the patients that have a history or no-showing or cancelling. We also call the initial evals and patients on their 2nd visit. This has worked out well. -- Michele Valencia
Guest guest
I sent this reply personally to another therapist, so I will share it again. Our calling system is interactive so far that the patient has an opportunity during the call to " Press 1 to be connected to the office to reschedule your appointment " . Since the calls themselves are made between 1300-1400 from the Interactive Voice Recognition systsem (IVR), the patient has an opportunity to immediately contact the office to reschedule their appointment. Guest guest
We use a similar system called ReminderCall.net (found at the same web address) and not only do they have the call re-directing option so our office can pick up the call with a keypress, but they interface directly with our practice management system. So there's never a button for us to press it just sends calls for us daily. They focus on PT clients so they work with lot of them like WebPT, TherAssist, InTouch. We use it for collections calls too, to keep our receivables down. A past due patient might get a call that says " have an outstanding balance of $234.65 please press 1 to speak to a billing coordinator. " I wouldn't go back to doing all that manual calling again, my office staff would throw a riot.
