Guest guest
My 5 year old has suffered from chronic hives (also called urticaria) for 1.5 years now. We had all sorts of allergy testing done, he was allergic to some environmental things, but also almonds. I stopped his almond milk and the hives decreased but never really went away. When we started the GFCF diet a year ago I noticed a decrease in hives. After all this time I have come to the conclusion that it is a condition that has to do with inflammation. It seems that whenever we do something to decrease inflammation, the hives decrease. Now we go several days or even a week between breakouts (and the breakouts are very minimal, very rarely do I reach for the benedryl). My best advice is to just keep trying to attain better health and the hives will decrease over time... > > My 2 1/2 year old has been breaking out in hives for the past 2 months. It started on his bum and he will have hives come and go on his back, torso, and legs. > He had his IGes and he is allergic to grass and mold. 6 months ago his viral panels were clean. > Can anyone give me any help on this one? Should I have his iGgs tested? Elimination diet? > He has been undergoing yeast treatments with nizoril, then GSE (we noticed the hives just a few days after we started the GSE), then nystatin and now nizoral again. > Please help, we are desperate. >
