My 5 year old has suffered from chronic hives (also called urticaria) for 1.5

years now. We had all sorts of allergy testing done, he was allergic to some

environmental things, but also almonds. I stopped his almond milk and the hives

decreased but never really went away. When we started the GFCF diet a year ago I

noticed a decrease in hives. After all this time I have come to the conclusion

that it is a condition that has to do with inflammation. It seems that whenever

we do something to decrease inflammation, the hives decrease. Now we go several

days or even a week between breakouts (and the breakouts are very minimal, very

rarely do I reach for the benedryl).

My best advice is to just keep trying to attain better health and the hives will

decrease over time...

started on his bum and he will have hives come and go on his back, torso, and

legs.

panels were clean.

Elimination diet?

hives just a few days after we started the GSE), then nystatin and now nizoral

again.
