Guest guest
I guess I have to say that I'm glad that I missed out on all the brew haa haa that I've been reading back on in the past couple of days!!! I hate to see anyone leave the group but I especially hate to see this group that has become like family argue over things that I know I was taught as a little girl to stay away from in any discussion..hot topics, race, religion, & politics. I know I have very strong beliefs on all and could go off on a tangent on every single one but it would do no good to anyone here or to myself. The only thing it would do for sure would be to anger, alienate, & cause me to lose friends whom I hold very dear to my heart. I don't even agree with my husband or 17 year old on those subject and they have lived with me for years, my hubby for 23 years now!!! Debate is a good thing, fighting over opinions is not, it won't solve anything. Sharon, I'm glad that the rules were created and from what I read you were very straight forward with Pegi and didn't attack her or her beliefs in any way. Maybe she was just having a bad day and took it wrong. That happens sometimes. Don't blame yourself, and keep your finger away from that delete button. I rely so much on this group, I don't know where I would be without all of you, I truly don't. I hope nobody else leaves the group as a result of this incident (Trista!!!). I would miss you terribly. Without causing another problem I would like to say that asking for good thoughts to be sent someones way or prayers seem harmless to me as long as the prayers aren't posted here. I feel better knowing that people here are thinking of me and those that do believe in whatever or whoever are asking them to watch over us all can't hurt any of us. Sharon, I hope you are not so angry anymore and I'm not going to say anything more on this subject, I just wanted to let you know how I felt as I am very behind as usual. There was a book when I was a little girl that was my favorite about a mouse who was always last and his brothers and sisters always teased him. I can't remember the name of it. I want to say it was called Slowpoke but I'm not sure. Does anyone know that book? I don't know what made me think of it, maybe because I am always behind on these messages! Guest guest
Sharon, I'm glad that you are avoiding the delete button!!! I'm sorry to hear of the fire that destroyed your home and took so many memories from you. That is one of my greatest fears in life...fire. As for the book I was talking about, I don't even know what made me think of it, maybe just because I seem to always be behind on the board. Maybe I can Google it. I can still remember the smell of it. Isn't it funny how we can remember things like that and forget so many other things? Hugs, Peggy > > Peggy: > > I will keep my finger away from the Delete button. LOL As far as people saying they are sending good thoughts or praying for another I would love to allow that. But there are a few members who have a hard time leaving it at that. So then I send a gentle reminder of the rules and we have a problem like we just did with others chiming in that they have also been told to 'tone it down' so I don't see how I can allow it. It's a sad situation to me but I don't know what else to do. I will consider it though because perhaps this whole blow up has been a learning lesson for all of us. > > Don't worry Trista is not leaving. Are you Trista? No one unsubscribed except for Pegi. She hasn't written to me at all after unsubbing but I believe Shirley said she was staying in touch with her. She has gone to another group where she can witness her faith as she feels she must. > > Have you looked on eBay for that book? There is one book from my childhood that I have been searching for for years. I found it on eBay one time but didn't have the money to get it and have never found it again. My copy burned when our house burned to the ground when I was 15. It was an old book that my mother bought at a thrift store when I was about 9. I feel sad that I can no longer remember the name of the book but it was about a little black scotty dog named McGregor, from my scrambled memory (thank you MS). > > hugs))) > > Sharon > > This email is a natural hand made product.
