Guest guest
Hi there and welcome to the group. I am sorry you have had to find us, but glad you did. This group is a wealth of info! To answer your question about AF, the thing that triggers AF to start is the progesterone level in your system. It will not reach 0 but it will drop below a certain level and AF will start. The thing is, higher levels of HCG can make your body think you are still pg and cause progesterone to continue to be made for that reason. SO, I guess the answer to your question would be that both levels have to drop to a certain degree, but HCG nor progesterone have to reach 0 for it to happen. I had surgery to repair my ruptured tube caused by an ep. I started AF right away (I was bleeding when I came out of surgery, similar to if I had a c-section - the bleeding you would have after a delivery even though that was not the case). I had my next cycle about 28-30 days later even though it was an anovulatory cycle. Everyone is different though. I have heard that some women take up to 6-8 weeks to have another cycle after an ep. Hang in there We are all here for you
