Hi there and welcome to the group. I am sorry you have had to find us, but

glad you did. This group is a wealth of info!

To answer your question about AF, the thing that triggers AF to start is the

progesterone level in your system. It will not reach 0 but it will drop

below a certain level and AF will start. The thing is, higher levels of HCG

can make your body think you are still pg and cause progesterone to continue

to be made for that reason. SO, I guess the answer to your question would

be that both levels have to drop to a certain degree, but HCG nor

progesterone have to reach 0 for it to happen.

I had surgery to repair my ruptured tube caused by an ep. I started AF

right away (I was bleeding when I came out of surgery, similar to if I had a

c-section - the bleeding you would have after a delivery even though that

was not the case). I had my next cycle about 28-30 days later even though

it was an anovulatory cycle. Everyone is different though. I have heard

that some women take up to 6-8 weeks to have another cycle after an ep.
