Guest guest
Dear Group, We are looking to hire a PTA. What would be a fair offer? How do you determine their salary? There seems to be a wide range from the sources I have looked at on the APTA site, etc. We are an independent physical therapy clinic. Guest guest
Hi Lori, I have researched this very topic in our area before and the best resources I found where the Occupational Outlook Handbook, the APTA, and our state Employment Security Division's website. Below is a link to the Occupational Outlook Handbook which will give you a start. http://www.bls.gov/oco/ocos167.htm#earnings If one of your therapists is a member of the APTA, they can log onto the www.apta.org <http://www.apta.org/> site and go to http://www.apta.org/AM/Template.cfm?Section=Demographics <http://www.apta.org/AM/Template.cfm?Section=Demographics & Template=/TaggedPa ge/TaggedPageDisplay.cfm & TPLID=101 & ContentID=14332> & Template=/TaggedPage/TaggedPageDisplay.cfm & TPLID=101 & ContentID=14332 for research published by the APTA. You will have to log in to view the information though. They break down salary information by regions and settings. I hope you find this helpful. Becky A. Sewell, MRC, CRC Rehab Net of AR P.O.
