This was a post on the Oklahoma PT group. Just forwarding for everyone's

information and input. It was sent by an ATC, so that is why it is positively

based in support of AT treating Medicare patients. Those in Oklahoma may want

to contact the congressman with their respective viewpoint.

Fwd: Medicare ATC

FYI...............

Greetings Oklahoma members! We have great news- Congressman

Lucas (OK-3) signed on as the most recent co-sponsor of HR

1137, Athletic Trainers' Equal Access to Medicare

(ATEAM). We are thrilled to have the support of

Representative Lucas. This is our first co-sponsor following

our annual Capitol Hill Day. Many thanks to Ron , MA,

ATC, CSCS for his participation and successful efforts in meeting

with Rep. Lucas. Please show your appreciation to Rep. Lucas by

calling his office and thanking him for his

co-sponsorship. You can reach his Washington office at

.Saying " thank you " is a very important

part of our grassroots efforts. Please take one minute to

make this call and show this office that athletic trainers are

engaged in the legislative process and are grateful for his

support.Feel free to forward this message to your colleagues,

neighbors, friends, patients, athletes, etc. and ask them to make

a call as well. Thank you for all you do for our

profession! Amy L. Callender
