High fructose corn syrup is altered, chemically, to make it taste more sweet .. that chemical alteration also allows it to combine with thyroid hormone, in much the same way as calcium and iron... leaving the hormone unusable....

It works that same way for all thyroid hormones... those produced by the gland or those from synthetics, like Levothroid and Synthroid, and natural thyroid, like Armour and all of it's generics....

Soy does that to... binds with the hormone so that it can't be used by the body...

Folks with working glands end up producing more hormone, those will weak, damaged or diseased glands can't do that... and will end up being over worked and struggling to compensate for these hormone binders.

avoided, period.
