term help

This is in the physical exam under the Neck examination.

Neck: Supple, without adenopathy. There is no ____(s/l lobe liger)

or tremor or evidence of hyperthyroidism otherwise.

TIA!

Thanks for everyone's suggestions. I finally figured it out. It was lid lag.

Re: term help

I couldn't find anything that sounds like that, but for some reason wonder if

he could be talking about a goiter since this relates to hyperthyroidism and the

neck. Just a thought - Vivian , CAI Transcription Student

Can anyone tell my why lid lag would be mentioned

under the neck section. Is it a symptom of

hyperthyroidism?

At first I wondered the same thing.. why would lid lag be listed under the neck

exam... but then I realized the doc was mentioning lid lag in relation to the

thyroid. So to answer your question, yes, it's a symptom and that's why it's in

the neck exam. Hope this helps :)

Thanks for the answer. I find that it doesnt do a lot

of good to just enter terms in lil red without some

kind of explanation for them, as when I go to use them

again I would have no idea what they were for. This

board is an invaluable learning tool for students. I

hope this all makes me a better MT in the long run.
