Guest guest
Cammie: I think you are right about what our mouths can get used to. I just can't imagine that far right now. I don't think I'm biting my tongue. I have all feeling back so I hope I would notice. This is more like how you probably felt wearing that splint compared to not wearing it. My tongue just keeps hitting the upper front part of my mouth & I feel like I have no frontal room for my tongue. I think it's due to the rotation which puts the back part of my tongue up higher in the mouth. My ortho thinks my tongue is still swollen. I hope he's right. Glad to hear your splint is gone. Don't have the time to be on here like I want. Thanks for the response, Georgia > > Okay got a question for upper & lower survivors. Guest guest
I also think that moving my lower forward, even that quarter inch, probably repositioned my tongue a bit, or at least changed its working relationship with my teeth. I think that is where the daggoned sibilant whistle that nobody but me can here is coming from. It's driving me bonkers, but nobody else even notices it!!! (You reckon they're gaslighting me?? They want my jawbones for some devilish scientific study, and they're gonna drive me nuts to get 'em???) Cammie > > Dunno whether this relates, but they slid my lower slightly to the > > right.
