Guest guest
OK, now I don't feel quite so dumb. I didn't know they ever used the radial artery in a CABG. Sigh. When will I know as much as you? Thanks again, Pattie Margaret Grant wrote: > Pattie, That would be radial artery. Believe it or not, they do sometimes take the radial artery out of the arm and use it as a graft in CABG. They have to do some kind of test first to make sure that there would be enough blood supply left to the distal arm before using the radial artery. " Never had just RA before " I have a question that comes to mind when Pattie said she had never had " just RA " before. I was told that if there is more than one meaning for an acronym (i.e., RA) to leave it RA, unless told otherwise. What I mean is, because there are so many things that RA could mean, is it more " accurate " to leave RA? Just a wanna-know question, LOL! : ) Curious on input... Guest guest
Lori, It is never more " accurate " to leave an acronym. However, if you do not know and cannot confirm what the acronym stands for, then it is more correct to leave the acronym than it would be to make a stab in the dark and guess at what it could be from a selection of several. Does that answer your question? Margaret >>> " Lori Winkler " 09/03/02 04:00PM >>> Subject: Re: CABG question response > Pattie, That would be radial artery.
