> It would be really helpful if you would talk more about him this

Hi Andy,

This is 's history. is the 3rd child. Almost 13. Born in

at 9pds.7oz. No problems at birth. Husband said lots of pulling on

s head/neck to get him out. But there was no problems listed.

was the perfect baby. Just loved to be held, nursed and sleep.

I use to say just feed and water him and he is happy. He never ran

off. Hardly ever had to get on to him. At 21 months, he swallowed a

penny, it got stuck in his throat. We had to have him put to sleep

and have it removed. 2 days later he had hernia surgury. Never really

talked. Sucked his thumb and smiled. Use to rock really hard when

sitting in a chair. At 3 favored his left side. When running would

hold left arm to chest and run. Sorta limped with left leg. His

sister fell on his leg while playing and I took him to have it x-

rayed. After several months still limping. Went back to Dr. and said

to recheck x-ray. He said he may have a hair line fracture. Went to

Ortho. HE said he thought he may have mild cerebral palsy. Neuro. did

MRI said nothing was wrong with his brain. From there on out I have

taken him to specialist to specialist and each one says something

different. Severe language disorder, receptive/expressive disorder,

CAPD, SIDS,etc... at age 10 1/2 complained about his back on 2

occasions. Finally asked chiropractor to take x-ray. He said looked

like scoliosis. Took x-ray to Dr.because he made the basketball team

and needed a physical. Dr. said he was fine but wanted to see x-rays.

Long story short. He has histiocytosis, which is a rare blood

disease. 6 vertebra have hole in them and collapsing. Have not done

any treatment. They are watching to make sure it dosn't worsen if it

does they will have to treat it like cancer. Aug. 2002 he had bad

stomach pains. Thought it had moved to stomach. Had scope and biopsy

done. He is eaten up with ulcers. Old and new. The Dr. has him on

hyoscyamine, and prilosec. He really dosn't take very much. He did

when 1st diagnosised but not anymore. also had lazy eye in left

eye. Wore glasses +6.5. Went to vision therapist now done to +2.0.

After 3 years. He takes 2 proefa,1 proepa,1 dha jr.(fish oils that I

feel made his eyesight go down, when 1st diagn. with histio. took him

off and eyesight went to +4.0 Aug. of 2002 put him back on and now it

is down to +2.0)multi-vitamine,Dr.Barefot coral minerals,HN-zyme

prime from Houston Nutraceutical,1 vitamine E,and 1 vitamineC. Will

be changing to EFALEX instead of proefa, epa. Due to easier to get.

Has been to psyciatist to work on relaxation therapy. Tried him on

Ritalin. NOTHING!! Even when the nurse accidently doubled his

perscription once at lunch. So I took him off of it.

Andy what else can I do????

Thanks Pam

This is the kind of thing that is complicated enough it is hard to say

much useful without treating it as a proper case (that is, doctor

involved, do relevant testing, have me review the file, spend time

looking stuff up and thinking about it).

You might want a trial of chelation, and you also might want to give

him lots of gelatin powder plus some gotu kola liquid exxtract to

support collagen and bone mass.

He might respond to ginkgo biloba extract or vinpocetine. Or might

not. Or it might be bad for him. Try them if you want.

>>HE said he thought he may have mild cerebral palsy.

Consider gluten ataxia. Have you removed gluten? Sometimes enzymes

help with this, other times not.

>> also had lazy eye in left

> eye.

One of my kids has this problem when she eats a food/supplement she

does not tolerate, or when she has a yeast problem.

Was this rx for ADHD? Hyper? If so, consider phenols
