Just to let you know, you are not alone. It's a long story but my doctor

decicded to send me for a test. He didn't really expect to find anything but

wanted a base line. I do have osteo-arthritis too. I have been taking calcium

for over 5 years. I got my bone density test back last Wed. I too have

osteoperosis. At 53 the doctor said mine is much worse than it should be. I will

be starting medication. I am sorry but I don't remember how old you are. I

will be sending my 20 old daughter for her test in the next few months.

I'm still reading and learning. I now have to juggle a diabetic diet with a

high calcium diet. I will do my best.
