Guest guest
I do not know if toxin block secretin, but the primary purpose of secretin is to release bicarbonate into the small intestine which raises the intestinal pH. The rise in pH allows the natural pancreatic enzymes to be activated and digestion your food. But metals in the gut deactivate enzymes. They are really good at deactivating them. So even if you have great secretin production, the enzymes it activates will be deactivated until you get any toxic metals out. One reason that digestive enzymes work so well is because they digest food in the stomach before it gets to the small intestine. But even orally supplemented enzymes might be deactivated by any toxic metals. Secretin may not make any difference at all and digestive enzymes would be a good support while you are removing metals. .
Guest guest
Papaya enzymes are 'valid' if they are doing what you want them to do and are happy with them. They are the same as papain, and only break down proteins. Because gut injury of any type can hamper digestion of all foods, you may want to consider enzymes for other foods as well. Bradstreet and some other Dan doctors sell Kirkman enzymes and so if they do not feel that that brand is effective enough to use with casein and gluten containing foods, and you feel their theory makes sense, then maybe that is what you should do. However, many families have been using Houston enzymes with casein and gluten for nearly two years and doing wonderfully. So that brand is VERY effective for using with casein and gluten foods for most people if that is what they want to do. We have used them that long without problem. I won't put much stock in 'mini-peptide' theory until I see some sort of documentation or support for that. A lot of other things Dan people say to do turn out to be wrong, or very unstudied and unsupported...such as the chelation protocol. . Guest guest
thank you, I am having trouble deciding either to go ahead with the secretin treatments or start detoxing, my son was accepted in a research program for secretin, I can not cleate during this (will disqualify him)but the testing runs 5 months. I just don't know what to do. I'm concerned about waiting the 5 months, we could be so far along with the cleation in that amount of time...any input is appreciated Barbara [ ] Re: toxins and secretin I do not know if toxin block secretin, but the primary purpose of secretin is to release bicarbonate into the small intestine which raises the intestinal pH. Guest guest
sorry forgot to ask about this, my son was taking papya enzymes, are they valid enzymes? Guest guest
Barbara-- Are you talking about the Repligen study? If so, consider that your child may not actually get the secretin during the 5 month period. He may only get a placebo. Guest guest
Hello Robbie V, You appear to be confusing Andy Cutler (ID is andrewhallcutler) and (whose email's and/or ID include alevin@ and osip). These are 2 different people, and you will find it helps to notice which one is which. They are quite different. > Andy I guess youll have to duke this out with > Bradstreet .Thats whereI got the info on the dppiv and > john pangborn. Smokies commentary also makes ref; to > dppiv and adenosine being wiped out.Ido believe they > are trying to help they do have aut, kids of there > own. nothing personal, but TRYING TO HELP and HELPING are 2 different things. People who TRY TO HELP should indeed get credit for their good hearts. However, if you evaluate people's ability to HELP based only on their intent to help, you may find this method of evaluation has very serious drawbacks. > Like I told the horses back end who attacked you > >Ill tell you the same . We are all trying to help > eachother and work together.Theres no use in being > ugly about it (osip / alevin@) says things in both critical/negative and criptic ways quite a bit. This is both my own observation and based on comments of others. Andy Cutler often says things in very terse and direct ways. People do also ocassionally interpret his comments as rude or unkind, such as the recent discussion to which you refer. best wishes, Moria > --- " andrew <alevin@i...> " > <alevin@i...> wrote: > > how do you know 'these kids need this desperately'? > > > > 'fools rush in where angels fear to tread' > > > > the more i see of angels the more i know they have > > hightailed it for > > the hills.... or the sea... > > > > > > > > Papaya enzymes are 'valid' if they are doing > > what > > > > you want them to > > > > do and are happy with them. Guest guest
i know that is one of the factors that worry me, but then again he might be and they offer to continue the secretin after the testing is done...Oh god what to do...what to do... Guest guest
BArbara, I always look for signs when trying to make a decision on what to do next. A big sign for secretin is that you were accepted in the program. Another sign might be that you run into someone that knows someone that had great experiences w/ secretin. I believe secretin is suppose to help w/ viruses. Do you believe your son has a virus? Sometimes it is too difficult to make decisions logically. You need a little help from above. You can also make it so your son will be ready to chelate in 5 months. Guest guest
you will have lost five months at a developmental stage that cannot be recovered. there is no big guy you just have to be dispassionate and look at the reasoning.... a lot of the effects of secretin can be aproximated with no-fenol anyway god is autism unpalatable. > > > thank you, I am having trouble deciding either to go ahead with > the > > secretin treatments or start detoxing, my son was accepted in a > > research program for secretin, I can not cleate during this (will > > disqualify him)but the testing runs 5 months.
