Guest guest
Jolie, here in California, it really does help to report the bike stolen, the approximate hour, where, when, etc. And, even if your daughter were not to get her own bike back, it might save other children from a similar loss. Here's hoping that someone spots it and returns it! Love to all, adults and kids in our group, n NEW MEMBERSHellto to all the new members! What a nice surprise to find we have new members, My name is Jolie. I was diagnosed in 2004. I am 30 years old and have 2 daughters. I look forward to getting to know you all. I haven't been online much lately, been preoccupied with stuff. My daughters $200.00 bike was stolen, we got it for her 8th birthday. It was still new since her birthday was in March. We have been scouring the neighborhood for it and pawn shops. No luck yet. Needless to say my daughter is heartbroken about it. She doesn't understand why somebody would steal her bike. How do you tell kids "cuz some people suck"? But anyway, the police have better things to do than look for bikes, at least Im told. So I will quit my rant. Guest guest
Thanks n. I did report it. I even gave the officer the bike that was in our yard the morning the bike came up missing. I was thinking someone wanted an upgrade. I told the officer to fingerprint the bike we found, probably the person who stole it, right? I haven't heard anything since but I understand a bike isn't priority. Meth is such a huge problem here in Billings. Horrible. Very overworked officers. Guest guest
Hi, Jolie! Riojas works for me. I am familiar with Billings. One of my maternal uncles was mayor of Great Falls for years and years. Highest hopes for return of that bike. Sometimes they find these things while chasing down a meth. lab! Love to you, n Re: Jolie & daughter's stolen bike Thanks n. I did report it. Guest guest
It should. Was the bike at home when it was stolen? Guest guest
Yep, right off the deck. Cienna forgot to lock her chain. I think my deductible is $500 though. Not worth it for a $200 bike I guess. I don't know how that works. ??
