Guest guest
Gosh, Ken, 75 grams of carbs per meal is a lot! That would make my sugar really high. Why do they recommend so much? Hi Becky; Ken here in Toronto; I've been a type 2 for about 4 years and was advised to eat no more than 75 carbs per meal. I try to stick to that measurement but still find it difficult to control too much sugar in my system, nevertheless, I am still in good health and once a day read, with my wife's help,my blood count. Today I had 2 peanut cookies for lunch, along with 2 pepperoni sticks and that'll do me til supper. I do that sometimes, I may have a piece of pie but that's all for lunch. I realize that I mustn't go over my allowed carbs per meal or snack. Ifthere's anyone out there that cheats re my sweet stuff, but keeps it down to below your advised amount allowed from your doctor, let me know ay as I'd like to get feedback re the issue of carbohydrates, and sweet stuff, ETC. Also, if there's anyone being satisfyed re protein snacks let me knowwhat these snacks are in brand types for them. New member Hi, My name is Becky and I had Type 1 diabetes for over 20 years. I have a guide dog named Mulligan and had a kidney pancreas transplant in 1999. I am no longer considered a diabetic by my doctors, but I still live a diabetic life when choosing what I eat and I am also very interested in learning about the latest technologies and improvements for diabetics. I look forward to hearing from members in this group and have a lot I can share about my own ups and downs of having diabetes. Thanks, Becky No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG.
