Hi ,I get this letter daily and I have e-mailed it to you and then went to the letters and it is awful, they really need your help there to explain it all. They have no idea what is what and Dr. Weil is trying but obviously does not have personal knowledge. At last look there were 14 replies and they have little idea on what is good or bad for them and they need info badly.Dawn

A bit of a thought.... a small amount is not going to kill you... you simply keep your daily intake about the same and then compensate with the level of your meds....

If you start doing more stuff with soy in it on a regular basis, you may have to adjust your dosage of thyroid up... if you have been doing a lot of soy regular and decide to stop... you may have to adjust your thyroid dosage down a bit...

....this is yet another time that self monitoring comes in handy... you can keep an eye on yourself and watch over a period of time if dietary changes are having an effect....

There a couple of things that I choose not to give up, that have soy... but most everything else I've either started making myself or found substitutes for... You have to judge for yourself which direction you want to go to accommodate your desire for a healthier body and life and your lifestyle....

I seem to be really sensitive to High fructose corn syrup.... I'm having trouble now with cheaper fruit juices and soda... that bums me out cause both of those items are treats for me... and now to enjoy them I'm suffering the consequences.... I'll have to make some decisions... is the good of the treat worth the bad of how I feel for the next day or two after?

Yes, ther is a forum there that we can respond to. I am a member there, but haven't been on that for quite some time. I get a regular daily newsletter, with herbal remedies and such from them, but I just don't agree with many of the things there. I have made suggestions a couple of times about thyroid disease, but I really can't remember what the response was at all. I am Marigold on that site.

Yeh, they have a strong etiquette thing on that site, but it sure wouldn't

hurt for them to hear some of our stories.

What just kills me in the sald dressings, Topper, is MSG, monosodium glutamate. So, there's soy in Newman's Own dressing, but not MSG. Then, I decide to make my own, as buttermild dressing, because that's what I like. I get to looking at all the brands of buttermild and their ingredients, and what do I see? Cornstarch! AAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!! WHAT is that DOING in there and WHY? It's in ALL of the buttermilks. I just don't get this at all, what all this crap is doing in these products. If it made the product have a certain stabilization to it, I could see it, but churned buttermild has it's own thickness, it doesn't NEED cornstarch, so what in the world were they all thinking?! Everywhere you go there's crud in EVERYthing, if not one type of crud, another type of crud. It's horrible today with all our store bought foods. We'd all have to go live independently of the world to remedy this, and, even at that, the soil has been ruined. Where can ya go? So I'm just not going to worry about all this, except for where I see straight out things that can be avoided, without starving to death. I am NOT a rabbit! I'm not going to use it as an excuse not to eat right, but I won't worry myself to death about it either.

P.S. , I'm sure that you also need a blood sugar run now, too, after all this time has gone by, with no labs of any kind.
