Guest guest
Hi Lyssa, People keep telling me that, but it’s hard for me to see. I’ve been hovering in the mid 160’s for a while now, so it seems like things aren’t moving. In fact, I know they are. Even though I gained a few pounds in France, I went down a size, which is very cool! I suspect I may be getting close to a size 14, but I’m too scared to try them on still. Isn’t that weird? Anyway, I am so grateful for the loss so far, and this morning I said to , “This is amazing. You have no idea how good it feels to be able to shop at regular clothing stores. It’s like a dream come true.” It feels so good to walk and feel light, to tie my shoes comfortably, to sit with my knees pulled up to my chest and not feel like I’m going to explode. I sit on all the time now, and it doesn’t even feel awkward! I used to feel like I was going to fall off or smother him. Anyway, I had to vent some gratitude, since I feel somewhat consumed by the negatives. My portions have increased, and that’s really scary. How are you feeling? I’ve had major back problems and been to many chiropractors. If you find a good one, it can really provide quick relief. The trick is finding a good one ;-) Hope to see you on Thursday. Is there any more talk of a get-together? - Alice A.

Guest guest
Thanks for answering Dawn. I am planning on surgery in Jan. I hope(no date yet). Dr. from Worcester will be the surgeon. I have had a psy. eval and another this week. I have apt. with the nutritionist on 24, Oct. Next group meeting is Oct.11th The rest will have to be there schedule but I will be a squeaky wheel as much as possible. I called my ins. co. and they said they do not approve this surgery as a weight loss measure but they most likely will if medically necessary. I have high chol. and high tri-clycerides. I have knee problems and have already had right knee surgery. I hope when we put this all together that will be enough. I am 42 yrs. old 5'4 " tall and weigh 260 pounds. I want to lose 100+ and will see where my body wants to level off. I just want to feel better about me in all aspects. I am so glad I discovered this group. I am new to New England and have no one except me husband here. He is 100% in support of my decision. I have a daughter and granddaughter in Providence and my daughter can't weight until I am her size so she can borrow my new clothes. I will try to check in every day. Thanks to you all.
